Viewing Related Files

The Related FilesClosedThe electronic record created when a user submits an incident report, such as a fall or medication error, or when a patient provides feedback. Some organizations refer to files as events, reports, or cases. dialog displays files that also include any of the patients listed in the current file.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'File Info Center', 'View File', 'Edit File', and 'Allow User to access Patient Center' functions enabled for your role.

To view related files:

  1. Open the Related Files dialog (not shown, see Management Form Panel).
    Only the five most recent files are displayed in the dialog. The total number of related files is displayed in the description at the bottom.
  2. Click Explore Patient(s) to view the patient in Patient Center. See Patient Center (page 1).
  3. If the file contains any unsaved changes, you will be prompted to Leave (continue to Patient Center without saving changes) or Cancel (return to the Related Files dialog.)
  4. Click Close to exit the dialog and return to the form.
